Trip Information
Guests staying at Krui Surf Camp will have direct access to the half a dozen or so waves in the town of Krui. These are all within a 5 minute motorbike ride. Although the waves are typically a little smaller than the more exposed reefs breaks like Ujung Bocur (30 mins to the south), guests can expect surf in the head high range between April to September.
Once you've checked in, you're free to surf! Guests can rent a motor bike (approx $5/day with rack) & Zane (the camps owner) will be happy to direct you to the regions other surf spots.
Detailed information for all the surf breaks can be found in the destination's section of the site within the Krui, South Sumatra pages.

Thanks to Zane and his family for a great time. Exceptional service, food and waves. Basic but comfortable accommodation that’s just a stone’s throw from a great wave, yeeew
By Greg Colwill
Had a great trip to Sumatra. Zane looked after us from start to finish. Surf was better than expected (it was unreal!) and we loved the Indonesian food, thanks so much guys!
By Ryan Sims
The camp was good. The accommodation was basic but fine, but that was to be expected. The food was exceptional and we got great waves nearly every day. The service was also good. We had some experiences that only locals knew about which made it special i.e. lunch at a waterfall behind Krui. It was great value for money and I’d recommend this for a budget traveller any day
