The King Millenium II is an aluminium catamaran built in Australia in 1995 and refurbished in 2007 specifically for surf charters.
She's faster than most boats operating in the region, with a cruising speed of 10-12 knots. Being a catamaran, she's also more stable than a mono hull and also safer. And with 4 triple share a/c cabins that each have their own TV and DVD player you'll be able to fully relax in between sessions.
The King Millenium 2 has plenty of interior and exterior space to relax in. And whats more is that you can expect a great nights sleep. Catamarans are renowned to be far more sturdy thanks to their double hull that reduce "swaying" when anchored up. Not only will you have a better nights sleep than the majority of other charter guests in the region (that are staying aboard a mono hull) - but you'll probably get less seas sick too.

The catamaran also features a large interior living room with large couch, a plasma screen TV, DVD, Wii gaming console and a home cinema system.
There are also several exterior chill areas to relax in. The main exterior deck, at the back of the boat is the main spot to relax in and the deck below is where your meals are served. At the front of the boat there are 2 additional decks with seating.

3 large, healthy delicious meals are served each day. A mix of Indonesian and Western/European cuisine served for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

A variety of snacks are also served in between meals. Each serving is based around fresh local produce such as fish, fruit, vegetables, pasta and meat. Guests are entitled as many fresh fruit juices, soft drinks and bottled water as they want within a reasonable limit.
The package includes 2 daily beers; all extra beers are paid at local prices.
The Crew of The King Millennium 2 has many years of experience in surf charters. All the crew speak English and treat the guests such that they feel at home. David and Poti have more than 20 years of experience in the Mentawai and Telo islands. They also speak several languages fluently (French, English, Spanish, Bahasa Indonesia and Portuguese).

Guests will have use of KM2's 2 additional speedboats. These include a 5.5m / 18' speedboat with a 80 HP engine as well as a smaller tender 3.1m / 10' with 15 HP. The bridge is equipped with a satellite phone, GPS, sonar, radar, USB and a 16 channel radio. The boat is fitted with an EPIRB , flares, life jackets and a life raft for 22 people.
Trip Information
When booking a trip aboard the King Millenium 2, guests will have the chance to surf either the Mentawai Islands (the whole region) – or further north to the Telo Islands (as well as parts of the Northern Mentawai) as well as The Banyak Islands (plus fuel surcharge). If you’re booking a large group then you’ll usually get to choose which region. Smaller groups and single surfers should enquire as to which region the charter will be heading to.

Guests need to fly into Padang Airport, West Sumatra
Arrival into Padang by (latest) 12pm. The boat departs at 6pm.
Departure flights out of PDG should be from 12pm (onwards) on the last day of the trip.
Flights
We recommend using www.kayak.com and flying into either Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - or Jakarta, Indonesia. From KL, there is usually one morning flight (1hr) with Air Asia as well as a lunchtime flight to Padang. From Jakarta, there are over a dozen flights each day that fly into Padang, from airlines such as Garuda Airlines, Super Air Jet & Batik.
Note: Visa On Arrival: A FREE 30 day Visa On Arrival is now available for a number of countries including: Australia, USA, Brazil, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada, Peru, Costa Rica, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, England, France, Switzerland, Sweden and Germany.
Arrive Padang airport by 12pm.

A deposit of USD 900 pp (approx. AUD 1400) is required to secure your booking.
Initial deposit is non-refundable but transferable or exchanged with a friend to take your place on that specific date (passengers are responsible for finding their own replacements).
Balance of payments is due 60 days prior to departure and non-refundable 100%.
Confirmation of your bookings and deposits will be sent via email once the deposit has been received.
Travel Insurance is mandatory for your safety and no guest will be able to depart on the boat trips unless they have copies of their travel insurance documents before departure. We advise all guests take out insurance upon booking in case of accident or personal problems prior to your trip.
By way of payment, all guests agree to abide by the terms & conditions.
One payment per group for initial deposit & a second payment per group for the final balance (60 days prior to arrival).
Guests have 2 ways to make a payment:
1) Bank Transfer
Bank transfer is the most common form of payment. Payments can be made to our Australian, US, Euro, New Zealand or Pound Sterling accounts. On confirmation of booking we will send you the details.
2) Credit Card
Credit Card payments are accepted with a 3-4% fee.

Thanks to Poti and the crew for delivering the goods. Super knowledgeable and experienced - definitely a well-oiled operation. The boat itself was epic & loved the fact it was a catamaran. Slept like a dream each night too despite Beno's snoring lol! Food was tasty and plenty of it. Heaps of snacks too. We just couldn't fault the trip at all. We'll be back, terima kasih!
