Trip Information
When booking a boat trip aboard Asia, guests will have the chance to surf either the Mentawai Islands (the whole region) – or further north to the Telo Islands (as well as parts of the Northern Mentawai).
For the tube hungry, we'd recommend sticking to the Mentawai islands that boasts the widest selection of world class waves. It's worth noting that the boat will go south of Macaronis, way past Thunders and Rags right, on just about every trip. If the swell and winds are favorable, then even further south as far as the hole & beyond, which is the end of the archipelago. Dave Crouch, the owner of Asia, is on board for every trip & of course he’ll do whatever it takes to keep the group happy. He’s an Aussie and understands Western expectations. He’s also a total frother! So, he’ll go the extra yard. In fact, The Hole is one of Dave's favorite waves which is about as far south as you can go :-)
For a few more user-friendly options, we'd suggest North Mentawai to Telos (No fuel surcharge).
If you’re booking a large group then you’ll usually get to choose which region. Smaller groups and single surfers should enquire as to which region the charter will be heading to.
Detailed information for all the surf breaks can be found in the destination's section of the site within the Mentawai & Telo pages.
* Surf Breaks - Mentawai (Playgrounds)
* Surf Breaks - Telo Islands

Great trip to the Telos. Excellent organisation from start to finish. The guys on the boat are great and Dave worked overtime to put us on the waves. Will be back as soon as possible.
Paul Lees
I would highly recommend going with this professional company. Dave adjusted our trip to suit our requirements. The crew along with the administration staff are fantastic and welcoming. Thanks again for a highly memorable experience.
Jason Aczel
Some really fun waves in the Telos, being dropped off right at the lineup of so many awesome breaks was amazing. The food was great (and plentiful) and the crew were always on hand for anything. Was a bonus to catch a few Mahi-Mahi and Tuna also.
Michael Wark
Just got back from an epic Mentawai trip. Dave and the whole team are legends, boat was sick and we always rocked up each morning on sunrise to a new spot that was pumping! What more could you want?! Thanks team!
