Weather: Still some mixed weather but typically sunny and overcast with periodic showers. The occasional storm came through.
Swell: The roaring 40's in the Indian ocean just kept on giving, and August was pretty similar in consistency to July with back to back swells throughout the month.
Off shore days: Winds remained light and variable.

After thoughts: August seemed to be the last truly consistent month. Its been an incredible run of waves since mid April with the surf getting bigger and bigger each month. The end of August saw a smaller forecast and although there were still excellent waves, the swell cycle was starting to ease a little. The season is far from over though, just check the mid September forecast (below)! Check back next time...
